Usability Testing and Heuristic Evaluation
I started my career in human-computer interaction with usability research. My PhD involved testing sub-constructs of usability and investigating the impact of design decisions on reaction times. I went on to learn and apply various techniques for finding usability problems in real-life technology and systems: classic usability testing, usability heuristics and principles, cognitive walkthroughs, and the System Usability Scale (SUS).
